Date Day Outfit

The city I currently call home is a beautiful city with a rich history. I've been here for almost two years now and though I feel like I know this city pretty well, my boyfriend and I decided to go exploring for our date because sometimes in the hustle and bustle of life you forget to really take in your surroundings.

My favorite thing about my city are first it's people and next it's buildings. The building are beautiful and each very unique. It's not uncommon to see a huge modern glass building right next to a small brick building from the Civil War era. One of our stops was a beautiful former church, its now owned by my school. The church has a simple but beautiful neogothic design (I know I am overusing the word beautiful but I feel like it's the most fitting word).

Of course, I had to take advantage of the elegant and romantic aspects of  the church by taking lots of photos...

My outfit I picked for the date was a floral, very pale green dress and a dark red faux leather jacket.

Dress: Abercrombie and Fitch
Jacket: forever 21
Leggings: Wet Seal
Boot: TJ Maxx....I know I know I wear these boots in almost every picture but I'm in college so I don't have a lot of money or room for too many different types of shoes. Also, these are currently my favorite pair so I don't see a problem with wearing them with almost every outfit, cause if the shoe fits it ships (they do say that, don't they?)

Rainy Friday

As the title suggests, Friday was a rainy day. So for my outfit I picked a strapless dress that had a slightly nautical touch with a bright yellow bottom, just because a day might be gloomy doesn't mean you have to be.

  • Green Cardigan: Forever 21
  • Dress: Not positive but I think it's from Target. The name of the brand is Xhileration.
  • Leggings: Wet Seal
  • Boots: TJ Maxx
Sorry, the dress is slightly wrinkled at the bottom. I wore this dress for over 8 hours and this picture wasn't taken until late that night.

Snow Day Outfit

Today was a beautiful winter day. Everything was blanketed with glistening white snow, children were making snow angels, Olaf (the snowman from the movie Frozen) was singing and classes were canceled. Uh...not so much. There was only a thin layer of ice on the ground, not fluffy white snow but ice. It was the kind that was barely noticeable but made walking an extreme sport. Also, all classes remained open, much to my dismay.

My outfit of the day...

Today's outfit was simple and warm.
  • Orange jacket - Burlington Coat Factory
  • Maroon sweater (worn inside jacket) - American Eagle
  • Floral tanktop - Old Navy
  • Jeans - Hollister
  • Scarf - Burlington Coat Factory
  • Belt - Forever 21
  • Boots (I tend to wear these boots a lot) - T.J. Maxx

Sick Day and 2nd Day of Class Outfit

I woke up yesterday feeling sick and completely drained. It was only the second day of classes for the semester and I was already  trying to convince myself that skipping my first class of the day wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, after all it was only syllabus week.

Also, somehow in the middle of the night my bed transformed itself into a nice warm cloud that was holding me captive and try as I might I could not escape the cocoon it was holding me in (yup, true story).

On days, like yesterday, when I feel like complete poop I like to dress up a little bit more because it makes me feel more positive going into the day. Also, it was the second day of classes so I figured it wasn't a good idea to go in looking like the queen of the undead, even though I felt like it.

Anyways, I thought I'd share my outfit of the day (sorry it's a day late)

  • Shirt - Target
  •   Cami - Forever 21
  •   Skirt - Abercrombie and Fitch
  •   Belt - Ebay
  •   Necklace - Can't remember
  •    Leggings (sorry not a very good picture of them) - TJ Maxx
  •    Boots - TJ Maxx

Also, it was a VERY cold day so I felt like the cup of hot chocolate completed the look plus any reason to drink hot chocolate is a good reason.

EDIT: Just realized, but this would also make a great 4th of July outfit!
